Schmellenkamp Communications began as an agency in radio PR. We’ve been “on the air” for our customers since 1986, shortly after private radio stations began broadcasting in Germany: using traditional journalistic principles, we seek out topics that would be relevant for radio broadcasting, develop and produce them in our agency’s own studio, and then make them available, royalty-free, to all German-language radio programmes. In short: we devise topics and distribute them to the media.

Our radio PR is always journalistically oriented, making it ideal for communicating your core competencies or to share your special, expert knowledge of the topic in a way that is suited to the media. In comparison to commercials, radio PR offers you the chance to inform customers of your product or service while incorporating background information.

The most important tools

Our product portfolio ranges from the distribution of ready-to-broadcast radio programmes, original soundbite recordings, the placement of infomercials and contests, all the way to individually-tailored cooperative agreements with selected stations. Because of our long-standing contacts in radio PR, we can also reach partner stations in German-speaking countries and regions abroad, as well as the rest of Europe through the support of our own translations & adaptations unit. Via this unit we can offer you dubbings and synchronisations in many languages.
